1. Surface Preparation
- Thoroughly clean the surface to be treated, polish it, degrease with isopropanol, and let it dry.
- Correct the paint if needed and repeat the cleaning process.
2. Applying the Coating
- Grab our sudworx® applicator sponge. Optionally, you can wrap a small application cloth around the applicator sponge, but it works both ways.
- Distribute the sealant onto the sponge until it is sufficiently soaked (about 8-12 drops) and apply the sealant evenly using a crosshatch pattern on the surface to be treated.
(IMPORTANT: Work on areas of about 20x20 cm per pass! If you do not remove the sealant quickly enough, streaks may form).
After a maximum drying time of about 3 minutes, remove the remaining sealant with a dry microfiber cloth.
Covering the Entire Surface:
- Repeat this method to coat the entire body, windows, and mirrors.
- After finishing, your car must stay in a dry place for 1 day to allow the sealant to fully cure.
Important Notes:
- Do not apply to heated surfaces or in direct sunlight!
- Always wear protective gloves (nitrile or latex gloves) while working with the coating.
- An additional layer can be applied after 2 hours.
- The ceramicization and full bonding of the coating take 12 hours. During this time, avoid direct contact with water.
- The coating does not leave streaks when applied.
- It is not possible to remove an incorrectly applied coating.
Durability:
- To ensure maximum longevity of the sealant, you should repeat these steps 2-3 times.
- The durability of the coating is at least 6 years with the application of two layers.
