ambitrim® Digital Ultra RGBIC FULL LED ambient lighting system, you can customise your vehicle interior lighting more individually than ever. In addition to millions of colours and dynamic colour gradients, the Ultra system offers extensively configurable animations, customisable welcome programmes and intelligent lighting functions. You also get access to our exclusive ambitrim® app, which lets you control not only both zones of your ambient lighting but also additional ambitrim® Ultra systems such as a starlight headliner, underbody lighting or other groups such as illuminated audio installations.

Whether you prefer a subtle OEM look, an individually selected static colour or dynamic animations, our own ambitrim® app lets you configure the ambient lighting to suit your vehicle and your personal preferences. Light strips for the dashboard and doors, together with additional light sources for footwells, storage compartments, door handles, speakers or air vents, allow comprehensive interior customisation.
Unlike systems with only a few preset programmes,
ambitrim® Ultra lets you determine numerous settings yourself. Choose your colours, adjust animations and their speed, configure your personal welcome programme and save your preferred settings as custom scenes.

Customisable welcome programmes:
With many ambient lighting systems, you can only choose between a few preset start-up animations. With
ambitrim® Ultra, you can customise your welcome programme far more extensively.
Depending on the selected programme, you can configure colours, speed, direction and other animation properties. This lets you decide exactly how your vehicle welcomes you when you get in. And if you do not want a welcome sequence, you can simply switch it off.

OEM-style activation logic:
When switching on and off,
ambitrim® Ultra can also behave like factory-installed ambient lighting if desired.
When integrated appropriately into the vehicle electrical system, the system can start your configured welcome programme as soon as the ignition is switched on. The actual ambient lighting is then activated together with the vehicle lighting. This means the system can welcome you when the vehicle starts, while the ambient lighting during normal operation only becomes active when the lights are switched on.
Alternatively, the system can be operated entirely via ignition-switched positive. The actual connection options depend on the vehicle electrical system and the chosen installation.
Intelligent lighting and warning functions:
ambitrim® Ultra takes ambient lighting further. In addition to individually customising your interior, the system can provide additional visual warning functions depending on the configuration.
When a door is opened, the ambient lighting can display a noticeable warning animation to additionally alert traffic approaching from behind to the open door. The door-opening warning can be individually configured or completely disabled in the app.
With the optional
“Blind Spot Warning” upgrade, the system can be expanded with an additional visual warning function. Depending on installation, settings and driving situation, the system can detect approaching objects and provide a visual alert, for example when changing lanes, overtaking, turning or before getting out of the vehicle.

Compatibility:
- Only use controllers, cables, adapters and light sources intended for the ambitrim® Ultra system.
- Components from other ambitrim® generations may only be used if they are expressly marked as compatible.
Installation information:
- Our instructions are intended as an installation guide.
- The ambient lighting is intended for professional connection to the vehicle electrical system. Connection and installation require appropriate expertise in vehicle electrics and must be carried out by suitably qualified persons or a specialist workshop.
- Direct connection to PWM-controlled vehicle lighting is only permitted if the system and the components used are expressly designed for this purpose.
- Incorrect connection can permanently damage controllers, light strips and other components.
- IMPORTANT: Before installation begins, the entire system MUST be fully connected and tested for correct operation. In particular, test all controllers, light strips and other light sources before they are cut, glued, inserted into trim panels or otherwise permanently installed in the vehicle.
- If you identify a defect during this function test, the affected component must not be installed or further processed. In this case, contact us before installation. This allows us to quickly and clearly verify a defect that was already present before installation and clarify the next steps with you.
- If a defect is first reported after installation, it must be determined whether the cause lies in the product itself or in the connection or installation. Damage caused by incorrect connection, incorrect voltage supply, short circuit, crushing, bending, tensile stress, improper cutting or other installation errors does not constitute a product defect.
- If individual components or the complete system need to be returned to inspect a reported defect, they may have to be removed again and sent in for inspection. Previous installation does not replace the technical inspection required in the event of a complaint.
- Statutory rights in respect of defects that were already present at the time risk passed remain unaffected.
- Before installation, check whether the light strips and light sources can be installed correctly and without damage at the intended position.
- The light strips must not be excessively bent, crushed or installed under high tensile stress.
- Take particular care with the cable transitions of the light strips. These areas are delicate and can be damaged by improper installation.
- The light strips can be cut according to the installation requirements.
- Depending on the surface, our ambitrim® light strips can be secured using a suitable plastic adhesive.
- Observe the maximum permitted number and length of light sources connected per module.
- Before installation, all controllers MUST be initially paired with each other. The required process is described in the installation video.
Information on warning and vehicle functions:
Functions such as the door-opening warning and the optional blind-spot warning system are
additional visual information and warning functions. They do not replace factory-installed safety or driver-assistance systems and do not relieve the driver of the responsibility to independently monitor traffic and the vehicle surroundings.
In particular when changing lanes, turning, overtaking, pulling out of a parking space, opening a vehicle door or getting out, the traffic situation must be checked independently regardless of any system indication. The system does not replace a necessary shoulder check or any other check of the vehicle surroundings.
Detection of vehicles, people or other objects may be limited by technical and situational factors. Depending on installation position, settings, distance, speed, direction of movement, environmental conditions and other factors, detections and warnings may be incorrect, delayed or absent. The system may also issue warnings even when there is no actual danger.
Never rely exclusively on the warning functions of ambitrim® Ultra. Responsibility for safely operating the vehicle and monitoring traffic remains with the driver at all times.
Legal information
- The ambitrim® Ultra ambient lighting system is intended exclusively for use inside the vehicle. It is not intended for use as externally visible vehicle lighting on public roads.
- The lighting must not dazzle, irritate or distract the driver or other road users from traffic.
- While driving, no lighting functions may be used that could be confused with legally required vehicle lighting equipment or warning signals.
